I posted this portrait of a friend of mine who is in the late stage of Alzheimer’s disease awhile ago. And took it down because it bothered me so. I decided to repost it because this is one of the true faces of the disease. This is how my father ( Big Ray) looked as he was traveling thru Alzheimer’s.

  1. The haunted, vacant look in the eyes, yes, you have captured what this terrible disease does to our loved ones.

    • I want to thank you for your comment. The images that are normally shown do not show the true affect of the disease. I thought it was important for me to not back down from the impact the image has on me.
